2011 SPRING PLANTING CLINICS at the Hillsborough Farmers' Market

The farm visits our home town market during spring and fall planting season. Come and learn how to plant and care for lavender in your garden with farm owner Annie Baggett. Demonstrations and Q & A happens throughout market hours, 8am - noon, so come when it is convenient for you.

Choose from many lavender varieties (LOTS OF NEW ONES THIS YEAR!) that grow well in our area. Bring your questions and receive answers just for your garden. Find LOCAL, hand crafted, fresh lavender items for the spring season too. Hand made lavender items for body, garden, gifts, home, and weddings too. Many one-of-a-kinds!
Conveniently located in The Home Depot parking lot off of Hwy 86 between Hillsborough and Chapel Hill, just off of I-85. Visit hillsboroughfarmers.org for more information.
DIRECTIONS: Located in The Home Depot parking lot off of Hwy 86, convenient to all points in Hillsborough, Orange County, and I-85. From points east on I-85, turn left at the end of the ramp, crossing the bridge. Home Depot is on your right. From points west, take the Hwy 86 exit and turn right at the end of the ramp. Home Depot is on your right.
This is the 25 year old, established Farmers' Market with lots of farmer/vendor members and plenty of parking! Look for our signature purple tent!

Lavender Planting Clinics & Sale at the Western Wake Farmers' Market

Due to many requests from our customers, the farm will head to Wake County in Spring and Fall with local lavender seedlings and our collection of hand made lavender gifts for body, gifts, home and weddings.
Learn to properly plant lavender with farm owner Annie Baggett. Bring your questions. We'll bring the lavender seedlings that do well in our region and teach you how to plant and care for them. The how-to clinic is ongoing throughout the morning, so come when it is convenient for you to learn the lavender ropes.
Our farm is pledged to bringing you local lavender that is fresh and fragrant, be it in the form of a plant or a hand made gift. Many of our items are one-of-a-kind, and each is hand crafted on the farm with the lavender that we grow.

Growing, landscaping, harvesting, crafting and eating! Taste goodies with lavender like Chocolate Lavender Ice Cream, Lavender Lemonade and more! Annie Baggett from sunshine lavender farm will lead the class and teach all about growing and caring for the many varieties of lavender and what is best grown in Virginia and the region. A history tour of Pharsalia will be included. Lunch, fresh from the garden will be served.
Hands-on lavender demonstrations with the many varieties of lavender and their versatile uses. While our Virginia lavender is in full bloom, relax and enjoy the day with us at Pharsalia while experiencing lavender.
Bring a friend, gardening pal or come solo! Just 2.5 hours up Hwy 29N from the farm, join us at Pharsalia, a private home and historic treasure, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia near Wintergreen resort. (See more at pharsaliaevents.com.) Tour with our host, Foxie Morgan, the many restored structures and lush gardens on this former plantation built in 1814.
Fee is $60.00. After lunch, you may wish to create fresh lavender items, like wands, mini baskets, or swags. Or, make an adorable petite everlasting lavender wreath. ~ Additional fee is $30 for either craft or wreath class. All materials are provided, just bring yourself!
